Award-winning composer Neophytos Stratis holds a BA in music composition from the conservatory of Baldwin Wallace, an MFA from NYU Tisch School of Arts in Musical Theater / Opera Writing and a certificate from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.

As a composer, Mr. Stratis has been distinguished for a number of his works, among them the chamber opera after Lorca’s play Blood Wedding; the film-scoring for the short independent film by Danai Stylianou Midnight Appointment; Orfeus in the Underworld commissioned and presented by the Tisch Dance Program; the musical Arman his thesis for the Musical Theater Writing Program at Tisch; Still Life with Flowers choreographed by Irina Constantine Poulos and presented by the Choreo Theatro Center; Skeptomenos En Olympian a cycle of songs for soprano and chamber orchestra presented at the Presidential Palace of Cyprus for the Second Celebration of UNICEF; A Tribute to the Greek Ancient Spirit ariettes based on text from Greek tragedies, presented by Cyprus Operatic Stage at London’s Bloomsbury Theater.

Mr. Stratis has been a scholar of the Alexander Onassis Foundation and the Paulette Goddard Scholarship of NYU.
