PETER CHRISTOFIDIS | MUSIC COMPOSER

Peter was born in Dubai. After graduating from Ambetios high school in Cairo, he moved to Athens for further studies. He is a graduate of “Akis Davis” drama school, where among others, Akis Davis and Roula Pateraki were teaching. In 2006 he moved to New York and studied at NYFA’s one year acting for the camera program. His education includes movement training, stage combat seminar with J. Kendrick RADA, seminars with many of the known Greek film directors and SITI company’s Suzuki and viewpoints seminar. He has appeared in the past as “Hans” in Oberosterreich, “Garcin” in No exit “Leonardo” in Blood Wedding , as lead characters for children plays dir. Koniaris in Baba-Rum as “Panagiotis” and The Frogs as “Euripides – Aeacus – chorus”. In 2005 he was part of the cast in Oedipus at Colonus that toured in Greece and Epidaurus directed by S. Evagelatos. Acted in Eve Sussman’s The intervention of Sabine women, a Creative Time Productions.In 2007 he was casted for the part of Mr. Savallas in “31 dromoi”, an Ikseni production TV series.Current shows: “The diary of a madman” by Nikolai Gogol which his first attempt to combine  directing, acting, music scoring, as well as, video editing, and set designing in a play. A similar attempt was the children’s play he wrote “Who stole the Christmas spirit” that was presented in the Greek parliament’s Christmas party in Athens in December 2008 .

As a musician Peter has composed for theatrical plays, ‘The Frogs’, ‘The Psychiatrist’, ‘Who stole the Christmas spirit’ , ‘The Diary of a Madman’, dance performance ‘In Search For The White Elephant,’ and the short film ‘Bubble Affair.’
